Knowing a parent got home safe is reassuring — but it has to be their choice. In CareHub, only the person sharing can turn location on, and only they can turn it off. No one can enable it on their behalf.
Consent-first, and visible
While sharing is on, the person sees a clear, persistent indicator — and can pause it at any moment. Pausing stops the updates; the family can still see the last location shared and ask the phone for a fresh one, which it answers automatically. Withdrawing permission stops everything. It’s their information, shared on their terms.

While sharing is on, CareHub refreshes the location periodically and after a meaningful move — not a second-by-second trail — enough to know things are okay, without turning care into surveillance.
